George Miedecke tops first-ever Trans Am Series practice in Adelaide

George Miedecke has used his circuit and Trans Am experience to top the times in the first-ever National Trans Am Series practice session at the Adelaide street circuit this morning.

The former Super2 Series and GT racer set a time of 1m26.8536s around the 3.1km circuit, 0.8s ahead of reigning TA2 Muscle Car Series champion Aaron Seton.

Miedecke is a veteran Trans Am racer having competed in the TA2 class for the past few seasons. This weekend marks his first weekend behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Camaro entry.

Seton, driving a Ford Mustang, was just ahead of Nathan Herne (Camaro), Cameron Crick (Dodge Challenger) and local driver Craig Dontas (Camaro).

The second practice session for the National Trans Am Series will be held at 12:05pm local time.
