Trico Trans Am Returns to Sandown International Raceway for Round 4
Due to the cancellation of the Race Winton event in mid August, Trico Trans has accepted an offer from the Shannon’s Speed Series to appear at their next round on July 25-27 at the famed Sandown International Raceway.
The Shannon’s Speed Series was the original home of Trico Trans Am and Category Manager Liam Curkpatrick said he was pleased to be returning to the series for this one event.
“It was unfortunate that Winton didn’t go ahead but by the same token we know our fans also love Sandown so coming back to the Speed Series was a great option and has been welcomed by the teams and drivers.”
“We know that this track suits our cars so I’d expect that as usual we’ll put on a show and it’s great that amongst all the exotic machinery of GT3 and GT4 there’s a bit of V8 rear wheel muscle for the fans to take in as well.”
In 2025 Trico Trans Am has appeared at circuits such as Symmons Plains in Tasmania, Mount Panorama for the Hi-Tec Oils 6 hours, Hidden Valley with the Supercars and now with Sandown, Tailem Bend, a return to Malalla in South Australia and then the Adelaide Grand Final (formally know as the Adelaide 500). The Trico Trans Am is set for a bumper second half of the year.
