Owen Kelly has ended the weekend dominance of Aaron Seton, securing victory in Race 1 at Sydney Motorsport Park today.

Kelly, the former Supercars and NASCAR driver, led every lap of the race, ending Seton’s run of topping every session so far in Sydney this weekend.

Seton chased valiantly, but could not get close enough to offer a genuine challenge.

Valvoline driver Nathan Herne finished third, passing Kyle Gurton on the third lap to take his spot on the podium.

Gurton held on for fourth, from Nash Morris, Brett Holdsworth, Ben Grice, Dylan Thomas, Tim Shaw and Hugh McAlister.

Race 2 will be held at midday today.
