Hi-Tec Oils Race Tasmania Track Schedule Revealed
THE on-track schedule for the fifth edition of Hi-Tec Oils Race Tasmania has been revealed with a bumper two days of action featuring 16 races across four categories.
Held at Symmons Plains Raceway each year since 2021, the Race Tasmania event has become a highly anticipated event on the Tasmanian sporting calendar and draws a passionate crowd of motorsport fans each year.
This year’s event will be headlined by the opening round of the popular Trico Trans Am Series featuring a capacity grid led by reigning Trans Am champ and Bathurst 1000 winner Todd Hazelwood.
The Australian Prototype Series will make its first appearance at Race Tasmania and be joined by local support categories the SPARCO Tassie Tin Tops and the ACL Race Series Hyundai Excels.
Drift League Tasmania also return with their high-octane display between sessions, as part of two days of non-stop action.
All four categories will each compete in four races, with Saturday morning the only opportunity for practice before the action ramps up with qualifying from 11:40am.
Racing action begins with Race 1 for the Excels at 2:35pm on Saturday, with Trans Am wrapping up the action on both days. Sunday’s non-stop program of action will treat fans with 12 races, along with three drift demonstrations.
Fans will also get the opportunity to rub shoulders with their favourite drivers during three free grid walks, prior to Races 1, 3 and 4 for the Trico Trans Am Series.
Both days will feature live coverage on SBS and Kayo from 1:00pm – 5:00pm, with the TV coverage preceded by a live stream to the Race Tasmania Facebook page from 11:00am – 12:30pm.
