James Golding Locks in Trans Am Return

JAMES Golding and Garry Rogers Motorsport will reunite once again for the 2025 Trico Trans Am Series, with Golding confirmed to contest four rounds throughout the season.

With an increased presence on Supercars race weekends for Trans Am, up to three events from one in 2024, Golding is unable to contest the full season but has confirmed he will steer his #31 CTE Custom Transport Equipment Mustang throughout 2025.

Golding will feature at the season-opening event in Tasmania, along with the Bathurst 6 Hour weekend, Race Winton and at the Mallala Homecoming.

Nearly 12 months ago, Golding made an impactful debut in Trans Am with pole position in his first time of asking at Sandown Raceway. The Supercars star went on to claim five race wins, 10 podiums and three pole positions across the season.

Golding was in title contention following the Bathurst International, sitting fourth in the points, but elected to focus on his Supercars commitments at the season-ending Adelaide 500.

The 2025 Trico Trans Am Series kicks off at Hi-Tec Oils Race Tasmania from March 22-23, before heading to Mount Panorama in support of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour from April 18-20.

Quotes:
James Golding, #31 CTE Custom Transport Equipment Ford Mustang
“Competing in Trans Am has definitely been a positive for my driving overall, and so to get back in the category this year is pretty exciting.

“The cars are a bit of a handful, so it helps with thinking outside the box to get the lap time. It’s definitely more of a relaxed environment, the Supercars world is pretty intense, so it’s good to be with GRM and all the crew there.

“Mallala later in the year will be good, I’ve driven there once before in Formula Ford and got a couple of wins. It’s a fun little technical track, that will be good for the Trans Am cars.

“Great to have CTE Custom Transport Equipment, Luxton Homes and Titanium Caravans back on board for this year. As everyone knows you can’t do it without them, hopefully we’ll get plenty of coverage up the front for all our partners.”
