New Support, Livery for Moffat’s 2025 Chariot
2023 Trico Trans Am Series Champion James Moffat will return to the category in 2025 with Garry Rogers Motorsport, with major backing from long time supporters LMCT+.
Moffat narrowly missed out on claiming back-to-back Trans Am titles in 2024, taking the runner-up spot in a season-long battle for supremacy. Since making his full-time Trans Am debut in 2023, after a one-off Sydney appearance in 2021, Moffat has never strayed far from the podium places.
Across 47 career starts in the category Moffat has amassed an incredible podium strike rate with 30 visits to the rostrum, 14 of which came on the top step. The Supercars veteran kicked off the 2024 season with a clean sweep at Sandown and ended the year on top as well with a win in Race 3 at Adelaide.
GRM will field five cars in Trans Am in 2025, with Moffat’s the first in a series of announcements set to roll out from the prominent squad.
The 2025 season sees Trans Am tackle two brand new circuits, Hidden Valley Raceway and Mallala Motorsport Park, as well as a new layout at The Bend Motorsport Park. The seven-round battle for the title kicks off with Hi-Tec Oils Race Tasmania from March 22-23.

“Very excited to be back in Trans Am and to expand our partnership with LMCT+ once again, after they backed the Renault in TCR in 2021 and 2022,” said Moffat.
“Massive thanks to Adrian (Portelli) for coming onboard, he’s been a long-term supporter of ours, and we’re proud to be representing his brand on our 2025 challenger.
“We’re fully focused on targeting that second title in Trans Am, we only just missed out on the repeat in 2024, so we’re all really motivated to get that trophy back in the GRM stable.
“Looking forward to the season we have ahead, there are a lot of really cool events and it’ll be great to get the LMCT+ Mustang out in front of some big crowds and some new tracks,” concluded Moffat.
