Trico Trans Am Series Entries Nearing Capacity

The Trico Trans Am Series is rapidly approaching the capped number for series entries, with more cars still welcomed on a round-by-round basis, as series champions and debutants alike announce their plans.

With teams and drivers confirming their intention to run the full seven-round season, the stage is set for the biggest year of Trans Am action to date.

TFH Racing have confirmed their return with defending champion Todd Hazelwood, amid plans to field as many as five cars. Hazelwood will shed two digits from his 2024 racing number and sport the number one throughout the 2025 season. Pro-Am racers Joshua Thomas and Des Collier both remain with the team as well.

The Racing Academy, who challenged for the 2024 title with Jordan Boys, will field an all-new line-up with Blake Tracey and Cameron Laws to make their series debuts in Tasmania. Boys has also stayed onboard in a driver coaching role.

Nathan Herne is the first privateer to make his 2025 commitment public, the two-time champion gearing up for his first full season of Trans Am since his championship winning campaign in 2022.

17-year-old Charlie Nash has also been confirmed for his Trans Am debut, set to run under the Norwell Motorplex operation led by Paul Morris. Nash Morris will join the Tickford Autosport junior to form a formidable line-up.

Fan favourite Ben Grice recently confirmed he will be back in his iconic 03 Ford Mustang, with the series to kick off at one of his strongest circuits in Symmons Plains Raceway.

Adam Garwood completes the roster of already-announced entries, with the Tasmanian local to take on his first full season of Trans Am racing.

Garry Rogers Motorsport and Dream Racing will both play an integral role in the remaining series entries, with both teams yet to announce their fleet of drivers for the 2025 season.

After a strong introduction in 2024, the Pro-Am battle will continue into the 2025 season. The Young Gun Award will also be presented, with drivers under the age of 25 eligible to fight for the Young Gun honours.

The 2025 Trico Trans Am Series will kick off at Hi-Tec Oils Race Tasmania from March 22-23, with tickets on sale via the Race Tasmania website.
