Marcos Ambrose makes call on favourite for National Trans Am Series crown
A new National Trans Am Series champion is guaranteed in 2023 with the departure of Nathan Herne to the United States.
It opens the door wide open for a new name or one of the sport’s veterans to take the crown.
Ahead of the SpeedSeries season opener at Symmons Plains on February 24-26, two-time Supercars champion-turned-NASCAR star Marcos Ambrose sat down with Wide World of Sports.
Asked who the short-priced favourite was for the title, Ambrose couldn’t pick a clear favourite.
However, he did provide a long list of potential front-runners, pointing towards the depth of the category.
