Race Tasmania receives two-year extension
Following two successful years of AWC Race Tasmania, and a third upcoming, Australian Racing Group is pleased to announce a two-year extension to 2025 which sees national competition return to Baskerville Raceway.
The existing event at Symmons Plains Raceway will continue to grow over the next two years, with the addition of Baskerville Raceway creating a double dose of national motorsport for Tasmania.
The picturesque Baskerville circuit is Australia’s oldest continuously operating permanent circuit, having been in constant operation since 1958.
In 2021 the track hosted an exhibition races for Supercheap Auto TCR Australia and the Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters, demonstrations by two S5000 cars, plus the Baskerville 10000 for the popular Trans Am series. All four categories will feature at 2023’s edition of AWC Race Tasmania at Symmons Plains.
AWC Race Tasmania has opened the year of motorsport for national level competition the last two years and does so again in 2023 from February 24-26 at Symmons Plains.
