With thanks to series title partner Turtle Wax, the Best Presented Team Award recognises the team which represents the highest standards of:

  • Car Presentation – livery/aesthetic appeal, overall vehicle finish and decal placement
  • Crew Presentation – team apparel and consistent appearance
  • Pit Garage Presentation
  • General team attitude, organisation and compliance

Led by driving champion Paul Morris and experienced team manager Richard Swan, Norwell Motorplex Racing ran three cars at Sandown – the #67 Supercheap Auto Ford Mustang of Nash Morris, the #7 SupaFSpares Ford Mustang of series rookie Jack Sipp and the #15 Pacific Petroleum Ford Mustang of speedway racer Mike Rowell.

Throughout the 2022 season, the Queensland-based team has also run Chris Pappas who missed the Sandown round due to injury.

Nash Morris achieved a career best qualifying result of third at Sandown, before a brave attempt to tackle a wet track on slick tyres in Race 2 (the opening race of the round following the cancellation of Race 1) resulted in an opening lap spin which set the tone for a difficult day.

In his second Turtle Wax Trans Am round, Sipp recorded his best finish so far with 10th place in Race 2.

Turtle Wax Trans Am returns to action for a stand-alone, marquee event at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International on November 11-13.
