Racing suspended at Sandown due to heavy rain fall
Racing has been halted at Sandown Raceway due to inclement weather conditions.
Heavy rain started to fall during the final 15 minutes of the Fanatec GT World Championship Australia Powered by AWS. After a number of cars begun to slid off the track, the officials called the race 10 minutes from the end of its scheduled one hour event.
The circuit is now closed, with racing and the Stan Sport broadcast to resume at 3:30pm, should the weather remain settled.
The Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge race has been canned, while TCR Australia, Trans Am and Touring Car Masters will hold their races, starting at 3:30pm local time.
