Miedecke family supports Tim Brook’s Trans Am title bid
Wall Racing’s Tim Brook has welcomed new support for the fourth round of the Turtle Wax Trans Am Series at Sydney Motorsport Park as the title fight intensifies between he and reigning winner Nathan Herne.
Brook enters his home round second in the standings, 17-points behind Valvoline Team GRM’s Herne following a close fight between the duo at Bathurst.

Returning to the venue of his first pole position at last year’s penultimate round, Brook is confident of a strong result as he enters with new support from Andrew Miedecke Ford, CIP (Commercial Interior Projects) and Topline Civil.
Not unfamiliar to this class of racing, Andrew and George Miedecke have both raced these types of cars before as the family name now contributes in another way through aiding in Brook’s title aspirations.
Brook has taken two race wins so far this season and is hoping to cut Herne’s advantage at the top of the standings.
“I’m grateful to be here to keep the title fight going, so I must thank my supporters,” said Brook.
“To have the Miedecke family support me this weekend is special as the name is synonymous with Australian motorsport, with Andrew and George enjoying success in many categories, including in these Trans Am cars.
“I’m looking forward to the battle with Nathan, a lot of hard work has gone into getting here since the Bathurst round from both my crew and I,
“Also I must thank Rob Woods as well from CIP for his support this round.
“I can’t wait to go racing this weekend.”
Turtle Wax Trans Am will contest its second race into the night at Sydney Motorsport Park – a first for the category – with three races to be held across the weekend live, on-demand and uninterrupted on Stan Sport.
Also the weekend’s second race under lights will form part of 9Gem’s two-hour live coverage on Saturday evening.
