Ellery Racing has joined Trans Am this season with the #31 Chelgrave Ford Mustang piloted by Dalton Ellery, son of two-time Bathurst 1000 podium finisher, Steve Ellery.
Presented in a white and matte black livery with chrome gold highlights, the Chelgrave Mustang cuts a clean and unique look on the Trans Am grid.
Off track, Ellery Racing is one of the series’ most engaging and polished teams across social media and has enlisted a sports marketing company to raise the team’s profile and commercial appeal.
After displaying top-10 pace in the opening practice session at Bathurst, repeated mechanical issues left the team with no option but to withdraw from the Bathurst round ahead of Race 1.
To date, Dalton’s best finish in the category came in Race 3 at Symmons Plains where he placed fourth.
Ellery Racing receives $500 cash and a Turtle Wax product pack as the Best Presented Team of the Phillip Island round.
The next round of the Turtle Wax Trans Am Series takes place at Sydney Motorsport Park on May 27-29.
