Turtle Wax Trans Am featured in Australian Muscle Car

Taking centre stage is the Wall Racing Ford Mustang driven by Tim Brook as Australian Muscle Car Magazine Editor Steve Normoyle details the growth of the category and the technical aspects, which contribute to the close racing.

Brook also talks about his entry into the category and how he has found the journey so far after dabbling in the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series in 2019 following a successful stint in the Toyota 86 Racing Series.
“They’re more of a drivers’ car than a lot of other things out there,” said Brook.
“They’re not perfect and it’s easy to make a mistake in them, but at the same time they’re not snappy – they don’t just give way and then suddenly you’re spinning. They’re quite progressive when you’re having a moment.
So that makes them a bit user friendly, which is a really good thing for drivers coming in that aren’t experienced.”
Team Owner David Wall also provided an insight to what it takes to run a Trans Am.
“They’re a turnkey car but if you want to be leading the series there are a lot of intricacies in the car that you need to finetune to maximise performance,” Wall told AMC.
“At the moment we’re concentrating on one car, but yes, we’d love to be able to do more.
“We love the class. We think the cars are cool.”
