The Turtle Wax Trans Am Series will comprise six rounds, starting with a visit to Symmons Plains Raceway as part of the second running of Race Tasmania.

Round 2 takes the V8-powered racers to Victoria’s Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, followed by the first of two visits to Mount Panorama over Easter as part of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

Queensland Raceway will act as the fifth event, while Sandown will round out the points paying rounds. Both circuits will be visited by the national level Trans Am category for the first time in 2022.

The TBA venue will be confirmed in the near future.

While the series champion will be crowned in September after the sixth round at Sandown, the American-based muscle cars will race on at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International for the ‘Trans Am 100’ special event on November 11-13.

Series title partner, Turtle Wax, will also incentivise teams to continue lifting the standards of presentation and professionalism across the Trans Am category. At each event in 2022, teams will have the chance to win the Turtle Wax Best Presented Team Award – a prize of $500 cash and a car care product pack thanks to Turtle Wax and Selleys.
