Turtle Wax Pole Position double for Tim Brook

For the second round running TRADIEPAD Wall Racing’s Tim Brook has taken Turtle Wax Pole Position, denying Dream Racing Australia Team Valvoline’s Nathan Herne his first for the season.

Brook set a 2m 11.4039s to take replicate his performance from Sydney Motorsport Park last time out in again denying the series leader to the tune of 0.5647s.

It promises to be an exciting duel between the pair tomorrow, but not too far behind is Kyle Gurton after placing his Garage 1 Morris Finance Racing Ford Mustang third and less than a second from pole.

RESULTS: Turtle Wax Trans Am Series Round 6, Qualifying

Ben Grice will line up fourth marking another strong performance in his meeting old All American Auto Parts and Driveline Ford Mustang, while the top five was concluded by Team Sydney Property Care’s Edan Thornburrow, who is battling Brook for second in the title.

Sensational Kitchens CXC Racing’s Dylan Thomas will start sixth ahead of an all-Camaro row four consisting of the Team Tempest Solutions entry of Zach Loscialpo and Waltec Motorsport’s Aaron Tebb.

Completing the top 10 are Kubota Racing Ford Mustang duo Hugh McAlister and Matt MacKelden.

The opening Turtle Wax Trans Am Series event doubles as the 16-lap Trans Am 100, which occurs tomorrow at 1:15pm AEDT. Race 2 follows on Thursday at 11:50am AEDT, with both featuring live on Fox Sports and Kayo.

The final race of the weekend is scheduled for 9:05am Saturday and will be also live on 7Sport.
