Grice reveals stunning new livery for Mustang debut

Leading Turtle Wax Trans Am Series competitor Ben Grice will not only debut a brand new Ford Mustang at this weekend’s penultimate round at Sydney Motorsport Park, but it will carry an eye catching livery to match.

Described as ‘bald eagle screaming freedom’, the livery features continued support from All American Driveline and Auto Parts providing a distinct US-flavour.

“I’d probably describe it as ‘bald eagle screaming freedom’,” said Grice

“It’s all to do with my sponsor All American Driveline and Auto Parts, with the business importing components for the US manufacturers, this category suits it perfectly.

“Because All American Driveline and Auto Parts specialise in Ford models, particularly F-Series and Broncos. We’ve gone to a Mustang, so now we’ve got the perfect car in the perfect category.

“There were a couple of proofs and we chose the most outstanding one, which will hopefully stand out for the fans trackside as well as the viewers at home on television.”

Support from All American Driveline and Auto Parts began at Bathurst, before Grice scored his maiden round podium at Sydney Motorsport Park at the very next round.

In a display of commitment to the Turtle Wax Trans Am Series, a new Mustang was acquired for the final two rounds of the 2021 season ahead of an all-out attack on next year’s title.

Grice gave the new Mustang a shakedown at Winton recently where it performed impressively and left the second-generation racer excited by its potential.

“The test was good. It was difficult to know lap speed, but we sorted a few new car gremlins and worked through getting comfortable in the car including the seating positions and seatbelts, so it was really acclimatising to the new Mustang,” he explained.

“I think we’ve learnt a lot during the since finishing on the podium at SMP last time out

“We’ve never tested, we just turned up and raced, but thankfully I have a team of good people behind me so it should turn into some cool speed.”

Grice’s new Mustang will hit the track for the first time for Turtle Wax Trans Am Series practice at 12:55pm
