Harris Racing welcomes Selleys Turtle Wax as naming rights sponsor

Leading Trans Am Mustang team Harris Racing has welcomed Selleys Turtle Wax as the new naming rights sponsor ahead of this weekend’s National Trans Am round at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Turtle Wax will adorn the side and front positions of the Harris Racing Mustang as lead driver Aaron Seton heads into the weekend as the series points leader.

Team owner Craig Harris added: “We are very excited to be partnering with such an innovative brand, the connection between the Michigan Howes manufactured car teaming with this iconic Chicago brand feels organic.”

Celebrating 75 years in 2021, Turtle Wax has been an integral part of American car culture for three quarters of a century and distributed to more than 120 countries including Australia.

Turtle Wax is in the hearts and minds of car enthusiasts as the number one brand across multiple categories including carpet/fabric care, spray wax, lens restoration kits, compounds/polishes and scratch removers.*

“Being able to partner with Harris Racing and join the fast-emerging Aaron Seton on his journey through the Trans Am series is an exciting opportunity for the Turtle Wax brand in Australia,” said Helena Lasan, Selleys Brand Manager (Automotive).

Harris Racing has been involved in motorsport since the early 80’s competing in many national series including the V8 Supercars, TA2 and now the National Trans Am championship.

Twenty one year old Gold Coast-based Aaron Seton is a third generation racing car driver himself with vast experience and accolades under his belt. The grandson of 1965 Bathurst 500 Winner Bo (Seton) and son of 2 x Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC) winner Glenn (Seton), holds a series lead of two points coming into this weekend.

Aaron began his racing career with an immediate aptitude of the skills and discipline needed to find success in his chosen sport. Aaron started in karts, coming through the ranks to road racing in 2015, cementing his racing achievements with respect amongst competitors.

Fast forward to 2019, Aaron competed in 39 races between the Touring Car Masters (supporting the Supercars Championship) and the TA2 Racing Australia Championship of which he won 18 of those events on his way to the 2019 TA2 Championship crown.

Harris Racing, Aaron Seton and the Turtle Wax Trans Am Mustang will be in action this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park.
