Aaron Seton sparkles under lights in Sydney qualifying
Aaron Seton beat Trans Am title rival Nathan Herne to pole under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park.
The V8-powered series settled its Race 1 grid with a spectacular night time qualifying session at the famous Sydney circuit.
It was Seton that shone brightest under lights, the Trans Am series leader scorching to pole with a 1.8-second margin over title rival Herne.
The margins were tighter behind the polesitter, young gun Kyle Gurton falling just three-hundredths short of Herne in third.
Wall Racing’s Tim Brook was fourth, just seven-hundredths behind Herne, followed by second-generation ace Nash Morris.
Brett Holdsworth qualified sixth ahead of another second-generation star in Ben Grice, while Dylan Thomas, Aaron Tebb and Hadrian Morrall rounded out the top 10.
Race 1 will kick off at 10am AEST at the great Sydney circuit tomorrow.
