Jimmy Vernon pledges his support to worthy cause

Jimmy Vernon has been confirmed as an official ambassador for the Kids with Cancer Foundation.

The foundation has been raising money for children with cancer since 1998, donating over $26 million to various hospitals and families.

“Being able to promote the Kids with Cancer foundation is something that is really close to my heart. After meeting with the foundation, my eyes were opened to just what goes on behind the scenes and how many people can be touched by this organisation,” said Vernon.

“Sitting in the office and going through all of the images of the children they help was really touching, the foundation goes above and beyond to help the ones that need it most.

“It’s a tough time for the foundation at the moment, the COVID-19 restrictions are making it harder and harder for them to attract donations, if there’s anyone out there who can contribute towards helping these kids and families, please get in touch with the Kids with Cancer Foundation.”

The Kids with Cancer foundation consists of only 10 individuals, keeping the running costs down of the foundation low in order to maximise the ability to help the children and families.

All the administration costs of the Foundation come from the lotteries that have been running continuously since 1999, so the donations and funds received from fundraising events go 100 percent to helping Kids with Cancer.
